Ana sayfa / Popular Science

Research about the universe is becoming increasingly fascinating every day. Alongside this, numerous new findings are emerging in this field. One of these was recently discovered. Researchers have found the oldest black hole to date. Here are the details!

The black hole formed 470 million years after the Big Bang!

Scientists are conducting various studies on how the universe was formed, leading to several significant conclusions. Most recently, a research team consisting of astronomers made a remarkably important discovery for the scientific world.

According to a statement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the team has obtained data from the James Webb Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. As a result of this data, the team discovered the oldest black hole ever detected, which formed 470 million years after the “Big Bang.”

Isn’t there anyone with muscles? NASA still couldn’t open the box from Bennu!

Fragments from Bennu Asteroid reached our planet. When the samples inside are examined, they will shed light on the mystery of the universe. Of course, if NASA can open it

This particular black hole is located at a distance of 13.2 billion light-years from Earth. Additionally, researchers plan to use these findings to fully grasp the “big picture” of the early universe, aiming to clarify certain information.

Moreover, it is claimed that the findings could help develop theories about how some of the first supermassive black holes in the universe were formed. Dr. Andy Goulding, who contributed to the research, made some statements. He noted that there is a physical limit to how fast black holes can grow once they are formed. However, he also added that the larger ones have an advantage.

Yale University astrophysicist Priyamvada Natarajan also made some comments. In her statement, she emphasized that this discovery is the strongest evidence so far that some black holes are formed from massive gas clouds. She also pointed out that for the first time, they have observed a supermassive black hole that is as heavy as the stars in its galaxy.
